Relief in Kwara North as Kidnapped Ndeji Victims Regain Freedom Without Ransom

Residents of Kwara North have breathed a sigh of relief as two individuals abducted by armed bandits in Ndeji community, Lafiagi Emirate of Edu Local Government Area, Kwara State, have regained their freedom without the payment of any ransom.

The victims were kidnapped on March 7, 2026, during a bandit attack that heightened fears among residents already grappling with rising insecurity in the region.

Sources who spoke to NupekoTV–Lafiagi confirmed that the victims were later discovered in the Oreke community.

“Alhamdulillah! The victims from Ndeji were found in Oreke community,” the source revealed, expressing gratitude for their safe return.

The news has brought relief to family members, community leaders, and residents who had been anxiously awaiting updates on the victims’ fate.

Community members have also expressed gratitude that the victims returned safely without being tortured and without any ransom being paid.

Residents continue to call for strengthened security measures across Kwara North as communities face persistent threats of kidnappings and attacks.
