MORO RONU: IT IS TIME TO RECONSIDER OUR UNION WITH KWARA NORTH

Now is the time for the good people of Moro to reintrospect and tell themselves the BITTER TRUTH about their relationship with other local governments in Kwara North.

No local government has had it this bad in Kwara state! In the Kwara South Senatorial District, smaller local governments, such as Ekiti and Isin, with far fewer votes than Moro, have produced members of the House of Representatives. In fact, Ekiti has produced a member of the Senate who represented Kwara South.

Let us move to Kwara Central! As politically gigantic as Ilorin West is, Asa has produced members of the House of Representatives more than once. It has also produced a Senator representing Kwara Central.

What then is the crime of the Moro local government? We have consistently delivered more votes than the Patigi local government, yet, we have always been cheated and marginalised.

The same thing is happening in the recent APC primary elections. We’ve been seeing unconfirmed results from Moro and Edu, but the question on everyone’s lips is: “Where are the results of the Patigi local government?”

Rumours have it that it is being withheld to negotiate the Senate election. What then is the future of Moro? When will this injustice end? It is time for every true son and daughter of Moro to search their conscience and seek genuine solutions!

Even if we were in Kwara Central and merged with Ilorin. It wouldn’t be this bad! Is it not time for us to begin to reconsider our association in the constituency and the North? The choice is OURS!!!
