Date: June 20, 2026

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Offa, Kwara State, have firmly affirmed the outcome of the party’s governorship primary election, endorsing Rt. Hon. Engr. Salihu Yakubu-Danladi as the party’s candidate for the 2027 gubernatorial race.

In a strongly worded press statement released on Saturday, the party leaders dismissed what they described as “misleading narratives” surrounding the primary election, insisting that the process was credible, transparent, and conducted in full compliance with the APC constitution and guidelines.

The stakeholders emphasised that the emergence of Yakubu-Danladi reflects the collective will of party members and remains final and binding. They warned against any attempt to challenge or undermine the outcome, describing such moves as unconstitutional and capable of destabilising internal party democracy.

The group expressed total and unreserved support for Yakubu-Danladi, highlighting his legislative experience and administrative competence as key qualities that position him to sustain and expand the achievements of the APC in Kwara State.

They also called on party members across the state to unite, set aside differences, and rally behind the candidate to ensure victory in the 2027 general elections.

In addition, the stakeholders passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, commending his administration for providing stability, strengthening party structures, and driving developmental progress in the state.

They praised the governor’s alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and reaffirmed their loyalty to the APC leadership in Kwara State.

The statement concluded with a call for unity within the party, urging members to avoid actions capable of causing division or weakening the APC ahead of future elections.

The press statement was jointly signed by key political figures in Offa, including serving and former lawmakers, government officials, and party leaders.
