The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat, Hon. Usman Kawu Mohammed, has officially received his Certificate of Return from the national leadership of the PDP, confirming his candidature for the 2027 general elections.

The certificate was presented at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, where party officials formally handed over the document, signifying the completion of the party's nomination process and affirming his emergence as the party's flag bearer for the forthcoming House of Representatives election.

Speaking shortly after receiving the certificate, Hon. Usman Kawu Mohammed expressed profound appreciation to the leadership of the PDP, party members, delegates, stakeholders, and supporters across Edu, Moro, and Patigi Local Government Areas for the confidence reposed in him.

He described his emergence as the party's candidate as a collective victory for the people of the constituency, pledging to justify the mandate through purposeful, inclusive, and people-oriented representation.

"I am deeply honoured by this mandate. This victory belongs to the people of Edu, Moro, and Patigi Federal Constituency who have entrusted me with the responsibility of flying the PDP flag. I remain committed to providing quality representation, advancing development, and ensuring that the voices of our people are effectively represented at the National Assembly," he stated.

Hon. Usman Kawu Mohammed also commended the national and Kwara State leadership of the PDP for conducting what he described as a transparent and credible primary election process, while reaffirming his commitment to the party's principles of justice, equity, and good governance.

The House of Representatives candidate further called on party members, supporters, and stakeholders to remain united and work collectively towards securing victory for the PDP in the 2027 general elections.
