Accord Agent Accuses APC of Checking Voters’ Ballot Choices at Ikire Polling Unit

An Accord Party agent, Ajayi Ayodele, has accused agents of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of allegedly checking what voters selected on their ballot papers at AUD Primary School, Atile, Ikire, in Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State.
According to Ayodele, the alleged incident occurred during the ongoing Osun State governorship election on Saturday.

He claimed that some APC agents were closely monitoring voters and allegedly attempting to see who they voted for, raising concerns over the secrecy of the ballot.

Ayodele described the development as worrisome and called on political parties and their agents to adhere strictly to electoral guidelines and allow voters to cast their ballots freely without intimidation.

He also urged electoral and security officials at the polling unit to ensure that the voting process remains peaceful, transparent and compliant with established electoral rules.

The allegation could not immediately be independently verified, while the APC agents involved had yet to publicly respond to the claim.

The development comes as voters across Osun State continue to participate in the governorship election amid heightened attention on the conduct and transparency of the exercise.
