The footage, shared by local media outlet Osun Defender under the hashtag #OsunDecides2026, shows scenes of celebration among supporters and reactions around the unit, with the caption describing it as the moment the APC chieftain “lost her polling unit.”

Ero-Arike, a well-known Osun businesswoman and grassroots mobiliser associated with the popular Ero-Arike balm brand, has been a vocal APC supporter in the lead-up to the poll. She recently drew attention after videos emerged of her distributing bags of rice bearing APC branding while urging residents to vote for the party’s governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).

Social media users have reacted strongly to the development, with some celebrating the reported outcome and others sharing competing figures claiming APC still led in the unit (Ward 3, Unit 16 in Boripe).
