BREAKING: Three Ilorin Residents Escape Bandits’ Den After Months in Captivity

Three residents of Abudu Community in Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State have escaped from a bandits’ den after spending months in captivity, NupekoTV can exclusively report this Saturday, September 26, 2026.

The three residents were among nine abductees who were kidnapped from different communities and at different times but were later kept together by the bandits after spending months in captivity. Among the nine escapees are one Nupe man, three Yoruba and two Fulani. NupekoTV is continuing to verify the identities of the remaining escapees.

The escapees reportedly made their way out of the forest and were later received by military personnel at Lata Nna in Patigi Local Government Area of the state.

NupekoTV is also working to establish whether the three Abudu residents are among the victims of the July attack earlier reported by the medium. On July 29, NupekoTV reported the abduction of a pregnant woman and two other residents of Abudu Community after suspected bandits invaded the area and reportedly carted away about ₦4 million.

NupekoTV will provide an update once it is confirmed whether the three escaped residents are victims of the July 29 incident.
