INEC Final List: Pantami Missing from Gombe Governorship Race

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released its final list of 16 governorship candidates for the February 6, 2027 governorship election in Gombe State, with former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, conspicuously absent from the list.

Pantami, who emerged as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate after defecting from the All Progressives Congress (APC) on May 19, had earlier been included in INEC’s provisional list of candidates published on August 29.

His absence from the final list has raised questions about his participation in the forthcoming governorship election, particularly following his earlier appearance on the provisional list.
