NACCIMA, Ukrainian Ambassador Explore Trade and Investment Opportunities

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has hosted the Ambassador of Ukraine to Nigeria, His Excellency Ivan Kholostenko, to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral trade, investment and economic cooperation between both countries.

The strategic engagement, held on Thursday, October 22, focused on building stronger business relationships, promoting private-sector partnerships and identifying investment opportunities capable of driving industrial development and sustainable economic growth in Nigeria and Ukraine.

Discussions centred on key sectors of mutual economic interest, including agriculture, food processing, manufacturing, technology transfer, energy and infrastructure. Both sides also explored opportunities to improve market access, expand trade relations and encourage the exchange of technology and expertise.

NACCIMA highlighted the importance of economic diplomacy in connecting Nigerian businesses with international markets, attracting foreign direct investment and creating mutually beneficial commercial partnerships. The association also expressed its commitment to facilitating business-to-business engagements, trade missions, investment forums and strategic collaborations between Nigerian entrepreneurs and Ukrainian companies.

The meeting further provided an opportunity to explore ways of promoting Nigeria’s non-oil exports and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises through improved access to international markets and stronger business networks.

According to NACCIMA, enhanced cooperation between the private sectors of both countries could unlock new commercial opportunities, generate employment, strengthen industrial capacity and improve economic resilience.

The association reaffirmed its readiness to collaborate with the Embassy of Ukraine, relevant government institutions and other business stakeholders to translate diplomatic engagements into practical economic outcomes that benefit businesses and citizens of both countries.

NACCIMA reiterated its commitment to building international business relationships, connecting markets and creating opportunities for sustainable economic growth.
