NDAKENE Mobilises Shonga APC Stakeholders, Affirms Support for SYD, Other Candidates

Former member of the House of Representatives for Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Abubakar Ndakene, popularly known as Wazirin Shonga, on Sunday met with All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders, party members and supporters from Shonga Wards I, II and III to discuss party unity and preparations for the 2027 general elections.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation among party members, mobilising grassroots support and discussing strategies for the APC's electoral prospects, including support for the Kwara State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Engr. Salihu Yakubu Danladi (SYD), and other party candidates.

As part of the engagement, Ndakene and other party stakeholders visited the palace of the Emir of Shonga, HRH Dr. Haliru Ndanusa Yahaya, OON. The traditional ruler offered prayers and encouraged political unity, peaceful coexistence and a collective commitment to the development of Kwara North.

Speaking at the meeting, Ndakene reaffirmed his commitment to Team  APC and expressed support for SYD's governorship ambition. He urged party members to put aside personal differences, strengthen internal cooperation and work collectively towards the party's success in the 2027 elections.

The meeting concluded with renewed calls for grassroots mobilisation, party loyalty and coordinated political engagement across the three Shonga wards. According to the organisers, hundreds of party members and supporters attended the gathering.
