Bandits Attack Nuku Village, Kill Five Forest Guards, Burn Security Vehicle
Residents of Nuku village in Kaiama Local Government Area were thrown into panic in the early hours of today as suspected bandits launched a deadly attack on the community.
According to sources who spoke to NupekoTV, the assailants invaded the village at about 3:00 a.m. today, setting ablaze a Mobile Police (MOPOL) bomb detection vehicle during the operation.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that at least five forest guards lost their lives in the ആക്രമation. The situation surrounding two additional forest guards remains unclear, as only their uniforms were reportedly recovered at the scene, with their bodies yet to be found. Sources suggest they may have been abducted by the attackers.
There were also unconfirmed reports that some of the bandits may have been killed during the confrontation. However, their bodies were allegedly evacuated by members of their group, making it difficult to ascertain the extent of their casualties.
Security operatives who later assessed the scene reportedly discovered a location believed to have been used by the attackers to treat injured members, indicating that the assailants may have sustained wounds during the clash.
Despite the scale of the нападение, no casualties were recorded among Mobile Police personnel, as all officers on duty reportedly escaped unharmed.
