AFA Academy Founder Isa Edu Visits Niger State Sports Commission Chairman, Explores Strategic Partnership





The Founder of AFA Academy and Chief Executive Officer of AIEDU International Agency, Ambassador Aliyu Isa Edu, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Niger State Sports Commission (NSSC), Hon. Ambassador Danjuma Abdul Masu, to explore areas of collaboration aimed at advancing sports development and talent discovery in Niger State.


The meeting, which held at the Commission’s headquarters in Minna, focused on strengthening partnerships that would create opportunities for young athletes to develop their talents and gain exposure to professional sporting pathways both within and outside Nigeria.


The visit comes on the heels of a successful five-day scouting programme organized by AIEDU International Agency in collaboration with R6 International. The scouting exercise attracted talented young footballers from different parts of Niger State and provided a platform for promising athletes to showcase their abilities before professional scouts and talent development experts.


Speaking during the visit, Ambassador Isa Edu commended the Niger State Sports Commission for its commitment to grassroots sports development and youth empowerment. He noted that strategic partnerships between private sports academies and government institutions are crucial to nurturing the next generation of sporting stars.


According to him, the scouting programme revealed an abundance of football talent in Niger State, underscoring the need for sustained investment in athlete development, coaching, mentorship, and exposure to international opportunities.


In his remarks, Hon. Ambassador Danjuma Abdul Masu welcomed the initiative and expressed the Commission’s readiness to collaborate with credible organizations committed to discovering and developing young talents. He emphasized that the NSSC remains dedicated to creating an enabling environment for sports to thrive as a tool for youth engagement, social development, and economic empowerment.


The Chairman further applauded the efforts of AFA Academy, AIEDU International Agency, and R6 International in providing platforms for young athletes to pursue their dreams and contribute meaningfully to the growth of sports in the state.


Both parties expressed optimism about future collaborations that will strengthen grassroots sports development, enhance talent identification programmes, and open pathways for outstanding athletes from Niger State to compete at national and international levels.


The visit marks another significant step toward fostering partnerships that can transform the sporting landscape in Niger State while creating lasting opportunities for young talents to achieve their full potential.
