EDU LG FACE ILORIN EAST LG TODAY IN KWARA SPORTS FESTIVAL FINAL SHOWDOWN

 Edu LG football team will today battle Ilorin East LG in the final of the Kwara State Sports Festival, with both sides set to fight for the ultimate football crown.

NupekoTV reports that Edu LG booked their place in the final after a hard-fought campaign that saw the team demonstrate resilience and determination throughout the competition.

The final is scheduled for 3:30pm today, Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Rashidi Yekini Mainbowl, George Agbazika Innih Stadium Complex, Ilorin.

Edu LG fought keenly to take their previous knockout match against Isin LG to a penalty shootout after a goalless scoreline at regulation time.

The Edu LG side eventually defeated Isin LG 4–3 on penalties to secure their place in the final.

Now standing between Edu LG and the championship trophy is Ilorin East LG, with the final expected to produce an intense contest as both teams battle for supremacy.
