Lawmaker Raises Alarm Over Missing Orthopaedic Mattresses, Fans at Constituency Hospital

“Where Are the Fans I Bought?” — Parliamentarian Demands Answers Over Hospital Items

A viral video obtained by NupekoTV has captured a tense moment involving a member of parliament who questioned the whereabouts of medical and other equipment reportedly provided for a constituency hospital.

In the video, the lawmaker is seen inspecting the facility and expressing concern after reportedly discovering that some of the items he had purchased for the hospital were no longer where they were expected to be.

Among the items mentioned were orthopaedic mattresses and other hospital materials, which the lawmaker said were procured to improve conditions for patients and healthcare workers in the constituency.

The parliamentarian also questioned the whereabouts of fans he said he had purchased for the facility.

According to the lawmaker, he had purchased more than 50 ceiling fans and over 40 standing fans for the hospital, but was unable to locate them during his visit.

He appeared particularly concerned that the items could not be accounted for while activities were ongoing at the facility.

The lawmaker subsequently demanded an explanation regarding the location of the items and who was responsible for moving them.

The incident has generated attention online, with viewers raising questions about accountability, transparency and the management of public healthcare facilities.

While the video shows the lawmaker questioning officials over the whereabouts of the items, NupekoTV has not independently established who removed or relocated the equipment, where the items were taken, or whether they were moved for legitimate administrative or operational reasons.

The development has nevertheless renewed calls for proper documentation and accountability whenever public or constituency-funded equipment is supplied to hospitals and other government facilities.
