NupekoTV Supports Edu Team at Kwara Sports Festival, Team Hails Support

NupekoTV has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting young talents and community development by extending its support to the Edu team participating in the ongoing Kwara State Sports Festival.

The support was presented by the platform's editor-in-chief, Usman Haruna (Communicator), on behalf of NupekoTV Publisher, Mohammed Alhaji Tauheed.

Speaking during the presentation, Haruna said the gesture was driven by NupekoTV’s belief in the importance of standing behind young people who represent their communities with determination and pride.

“We are proud of the Edu team and what they are doing at this sports festival. For us at NupekoTV, supporting our people goes beyond reporting their achievements. We also believe in standing with them and encouraging them when they need that support.

“We want the players and officials to know that people are watching, people are proud of them, and people are willing to stand behind them. Their success is a source of pride for Edu and Kwara North, and we are happy to play our little part in encouraging the team.”

The Edu team has already progressed from the group stage and secured a place in the semi-finals of the football competition at the ongoing sports festival.

Receiving the gesture on behalf of the team, Chairman of the Edu Football Association, Abdulmaleek Manzuma (Dan Buram), expressed appreciation to NupekoTV for what he described as a thoughtful and encouraging show of support.

Manzuma said the team was “very, very happy” with the gesture, noting that it meant a lot to the players and officials to know that people and organisations were standing behind them.

He said the support would remain a memorable encouragement to the team, especially because athletes often look back on moments when people showed up for them during important stages of their journey.

“We are very, very happy with this gesture from NupekoTV. It shows that when we look back, we have people who are supporting us and believing in us.

“On behalf of the entire team, I want to sincerely thank NupekoTV and the publisher, Mohammed Alhaji Tauheed, for this wonderful gesture. We really appreciate it, and we are grateful for the support.”

He further praised NupekoTV for identifying with the team and for demonstrating that media organisations can contribute meaningfully to the development and encouragement of grassroots sports.

The gesture comes as the Edu team continues its campaign at the Kwara State Sports Festival, with the team now looking ahead to the semi-final stage of the football competition.
