Patigi Emerges First in Parade at Kwara State Sports Festival

Patigi Local Government Area has emerged first in the parade display at the ongoing 8th Kwara State Sports Festival, drawing cheers and applause for its impressive outing during the event.

The Patigi contingent stood out among the participating local government areas with its coordinated march and colourful display at the opening activities of the sports festival.

The 8th edition of the Kwara State Sports Festival is bringing together athletes and contingents from the 16 local government areas of the state. The festival, scheduled for August 21 to 29, 2026, features several sporting events at the George Agbazika Innih Stadium Complex in Ilorin.

Patigi’s success in the parade marks an encouraging start to its campaign at the festival, where the local government will also be hoping for strong performances across the various sporting events.

The festival is expected to provide an opportunity for athletes to showcase their talents, while promoting unity, healthy competition and grassroots sports development across Kwara State.

Patigi’s first-place finish in the parade has further raised the hopes of its supporters as the sporting competition continues.
