Former Senior Special Assistant on Communications to the Kwara State Governor, Ibrahim Abdullateef, has claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu personally prevented Senator Saliu Mustapha from securing the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket in Kwara State.

Abdullateef made the claim while speaking on Sobi FM, where he discussed the political developments surrounding the Kwara APC and the party’s governorship ticket.

According to him, the decision that stopped Mustapha from securing the ticket came directly from President Tinubu.

His claim offers a different account of the political events surrounding the APC’s choice of governorship candidate and is likely to generate fresh debate among supporters and political observers in Kwara State.
