NBTE Approves Artificial Intelligence Programme for Kwara State Polytechnic

Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has received approval from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to commence a National Diploma (ND) programme in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The development is expected to strengthen the institution’s academic offerings and provide students with formal training in one of the fastest-growing areas of technology.

The new programme will focus on equipping students with relevant knowledge and practical skills in Artificial Intelligence and related technologies, preparing graduates for opportunities in Nigeria’s growing digital economy.

The approval also comes amid increasing efforts by Nigerian technical institutions to expand training in emerging technologies and align academic programmes with changing industry demands.

With the introduction of the ND Artificial Intelligence programme, prospective students interested in AI and related fields will have an opportunity to pursue specialised training at Kwara State Polytechnic.
