NEWS: Oluremi Tinubu Honoured with Soniyyako Title in Nupe Kingdom

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has been conferred with the prestigious traditional title of Soniyyako of the Nupe Kingdom, in recognition of her contributions to national development and support for cultural unity.

The honour, bestowed by the Nupe traditional institution under the leadership of HRH, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, reflects the kingdom’s appreciation of her role in promoting social welfare, women's empowerment, and national cohesion.

The conferment ceremony, which drew dignitaries from across the country, highlights the enduring relevance of traditional institutions in acknowledging public service and strengthening ties between leadership and grassroots communities.

The title Soniyyako, which signifies a woman of honour and influence, places the First Lady among distinguished personalities recognized by the Nupe Kingdom for their impact and service.
