CCB Warns New Officers Against Bribery, Urges Integrity
The Code of Conduct Bureau has charged its newly recruited officers to reject bribes and uphold integrity in the discharge of their official responsibilities.
The bureau gave the warning after the officers completed a four-week training programme at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Academy.
The CCB urged the new officers to remain professional and adhere strictly to ethical standards, stressing the importance of honesty, accountability and transparency in public service.
It also cautioned them against conduct capable of undermining public confidence in the bureau, particularly bribery, corruption and abuse of office.
The officers were encouraged to apply the knowledge acquired during the training to their duties and uphold the principles guiding the conduct of public officers.
