Tinubu Approves EFCC-Recovered Property as New NDPC Headquarters
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved an asset recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja for use as the new headquarters of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
The development was disclosed as part of the Federal Government’s efforts to ensure that recovered assets are put to productive use in support of public institutions and government operations.
The approved property is expected to provide the NDPC with a permanent and dedicated headquarters as the commission continues to expand its regulatory activities in the country.
The NDPC is responsible for regulating data protection and privacy practices in Nigeria, including promoting compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act and safeguarding the rights of individuals over their personal data.
The move is expected to strengthen the commission’s institutional capacity and provide a more suitable working environment for the effective discharge of its statutory responsibilities.
