Edu Chairman Urged to Intervene Over Deteriorating Taiwo Road in Lafiagi

The Chairman of Edu Local Government Council has been urged to address the deteriorating condition of Taiwo Road in Lafiagi, headquarters of the local government.

The road has continued to show signs of deterioration, with some sections requiring attention and rehabilitation. The call comes amid concerns over the state of the road and the need for further government intervention.

A resident, Mr Babatifin, who spoke with our reporter, said the purpose of drawing attention to the issue was to remind the government of the concerns and agitations of the people. He said the concerns should be brought to the attention of the appropriate authorities. According to him, doing so would help keep the government informed about areas where further action is required.

The resident said the government was aware that the people were being marginalised, stressing the importance of continuing to draw attention to issues affecting the community.

He noted that raising such concerns would help ensure that the needs of the people receive the necessary attention.

He also advised that concerns should be communicated through constructive and professional criticism.

According to him, attention should be drawn to both the efforts already made by the government and areas where more needs to be done.
He described this as a balanced way of communicating the concerns of the people.

The resident urged those raising concerns about issues affecting the community to acknowledge existing interventions while clearly identifying areas that still require attention.

He said this would help ensure that outstanding challenges remain on the government’s agenda and receive appropriate consideration.
