NACCIMA Calls for Participation in London Halal Forum 2026, Urges Nigerian Investors to Tap into $7trn Global Halal Economy

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has called on business leaders, investors, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, academics and government representatives to attend the forthcoming London Halal Forum 2026, describing the event as a strategic platform for Nigerian businesses to explore investment opportunities, forge international partnerships, expand market access and deepen their understanding of the rapidly growing global halal economy.

The National Public Relations Officer of NACCIMA, Mrs Madinat Adigun-Oladotun, disclosed that the forum will hold from October 10 to 11, 2026, at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, London, United Kingdom.

Organised by Halal360 in partnership with key institutions, including the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD), the London Halal Forum 2026 will be held under the theme, “Halal as Transformative Economy.”

The event is expected to bring together industry leaders, investors, policymakers, entrepreneurs, experts and other stakeholders from over 100 countries to examine emerging opportunities and strategies for sustainable growth in the halal economy.

Mrs Adigun-Oladotun said the global halal economy, estimated at about $7 trillion, presents significant opportunities across sectors including food and agriculture, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, finance, tourism, logistics, manufacturing and other consumer and business services.

She noted that despite Nigeria's enormous economic potential, large consumer market, agricultural resources, youthful population and strategic position within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the country has yet to fully harness the opportunities available within the global halal value chain.

According to her, greater participation in the halal economy could help Nigeria attract foreign and domestic investment, promote local production and value addition, expand non-oil exports, create employment opportunities, strengthen the country's position as a major hub for halal products and services in Africa, and actualise the vision of a $1 trillion economy by 2030.

“Nigeria has the market, human resources, entrepreneurial capacity and strategic location to become a major player in the global halal economy. What is required is deliberate investment, stronger partnerships, improved standards and certification, increased local production and greater access to international markets,” the NACCIMA PRO noted.

Mrs Adigun-Oladotun further encouraged interested stakeholders to contact NACCIMA for necessary information and guidance on the event.

She said the forum would provide opportunities for participants to engage in B2B business meetings, exhibitions, expert-led sessions, networking, government and regulatory engagements, halal technology discussions, halal culinary sessions and platforms for professional expertise and knowledge exchange, among other activities.

She added that NACCIMA remained committed to facilitating connections between Nigerian businesses and international markets while promoting trade, investment, entrepreneurship and private-sector-led economic development.

“The London Halal Forum 2026 presents an important opportunity for Nigeria to move from being largely a consumer in the halal market to becoming a producer, exporter and investment destination within the global halal value chain.
