AIPUFT 2.0: AFA Founder Unveils Second Edition, Opens Registration November 4 for 12 LGAs

Following the successful Stakeholders’ Engagement Meeting held on Monday, November 2, 2026, with the leadership of the Kwara State Football Association and Local Government Football Councils, the Organising Committee is happy to declare AIPUFT 2.0 – 2026 OFFICIALLY OPEN FOR TEAM REGISTRATION!

Building on the massive success of our inaugural edition, AIPUFT 2.0 expands across 12 Local Government Areas in Kwara North and Kwara South Senatorial Districts to showcase the absolute best in youth football.

📌 Key Tournament Highlights

📅 Tournament Dates: December 13 – 30, 2026

🏟️ Grand Finale Venue: Main Bowl, Kwara State Stadium complex

⚽ Participating Teams: 26 Elite Squads (26 LGA representatives)

👥 Age Limit: U-18 (Maximum 18 years — strictly focused on grassroots and youth development)

📋 Squad Composition: Maximum of 22 Players and 3 Team Officials per squad.

📋 Registration Fee: Maximum of 22 Players and 3 Team Officials per squad.

💰 Total Cash Prize Structure

To ensure broad support and community-wide empowerment, the 2026 prize pool has been structured as follows:

🥇 1st Place Champions: ₦1,500,000

🥈 2nd Place Runners-Up: ₦1,000,000

🥉 3rd Place: ₦750,000

🎁 Consolation Allocation: ₦1,250,000 (Shared among all participating LGAs outside the top three)

📝 Registration & Selection Guidelines for Teams

Selection Authority: Selection and nomination of participating teams rest with the respective Local Government Football Associations (LGFAs). Interested teams and grassroots clubs are advised to contact their LGA Football Association Chairmen immediately.

Player Identification & Compliance: In strict compliance with standard regulations, double registration of players is strictly prohibited. Any player registered for more than one team will face automatic disqualification.
