Kwara 2027 Manifesto Discourse: ASKOMP Announces Participation Guidelines

The Association of Kwara Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP) has released participation guidelines ahead of its highly anticipated Kwara 2027 Manifesto Discourse, scheduled to hold on Friday, November 6, 2026, at Rotana Hotel, Fate, Ilorin.

The event, which will begin at 3:00 p.m., is expected to provide governorship candidates with a platform to present their visions, policy proposals and development plans for Kwara State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to the organisers, all invited governorship candidates, representatives of their campaign teams and other distinguished guests are expected to arrive at the venue by 2:00 p.m., immediately after Jummat prayers, to ensure a smooth commencement of the programme.

Under the participation arrangements, each governorship candidate will be given 30 minutes to present their vision and explain the policies, programmes and development initiatives they intend to implement if elected governor of the state.

ASKOMP emphasised that the engagement should not be mistaken for a political debate or interview session. Instead, it is designed as a structured platform where candidates can independently communicate their governance plans and demonstrate their understanding of the needs and expectations of Kwarans.

The association also noted that participating candidates would benefit from significant media visibility and publicity, providing an opportunity to communicate their political messages to a wider audience through credible online media platforms.

With digital media playing an increasingly important role in political communication, the discourse is expected to strengthen public awareness of the candidates' positions, proposed policies and development priorities beyond traditional campaign activities.

For invited guests and other stakeholders, the programme will also provide an opportunity to assess the aspirations and proposed leadership directions of those seeking to govern Kwara State.

ASKOMP has therefore called on all invited candidates, campaign representatives and stakeholders to make adequate arrangements to attend the event and comply with the stipulated arrival time.

The association stressed that Kwara's future requires meaningful discussions, practical policy proposals and purposeful leadership, adding that the manifesto discourse provides an important platform for such conversations.
