The Abuja branch of the Lafiagi Descendants' Development Union (LADDU) has successfully hosted its 2nd Annual Ramadan Lecture and Iftar Feeding Program



me, with a strong call for prayers, unity and development for the Lafiagi Emirate.


Speaking at the event, the National President of the Union, Dr. Muhammad Jibril Abdullahi (Amana Lafiagi), urged members of the Emirate residing in Abuja to use the holy month of Ramadan to pray for peace, progress and sustainable development in Lafiagi. He emphasised that Ramadan is a period for sober reflection, renewed devotion and collective responsibility toward community growth.


The programme was organised under the leadership of the Abuja Branch Chairman, Dr. Ndanusa Mohammed Manzuma-Ndaaba (Gorozon Lafiagi), and held on Saturday, March 1, 2026, at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital Masjid. The Chairman was represented at the event by the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Kudu Puta.


The National Leader stressed the importance of unity among members, encouraging continued support for initiatives that promote harmony and long-term development across the Emirate.


The event attracted prominent dignitaries, including Hon. Ahmed Saba and Sen. Sadiq Suleiman Umar, who was represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Alhaji Yakubu. The Chairman of the Occasion, Alhaji M.T. Mamman (Madakin Lafiagi), also graced the gathering alongside other respected guests.


Declaring the programme open, the Special Guest of Honour, Tajudeen Audu, commended the Union for sustaining the annual spiritual engagement. The Guest Lecturer, Haruna Manzuma Alhaji, delivered a lecture titled “Ramadan and Social Responsibilities,” highlighting the need for compassion, charity and civic duty during the fasting period.


Other dignitaries in attendance included Amb. Mohammed Mohammed, community leaders and stakeholders of the Emirate.


The event featured Qur’anic recitation, goodwill messages, an interactive question-and-answer session, and a vote of thanks delivered by Rtd. Group Captain Abdulazeez Loko, followed by a closing prayer.


The annual Ramadan lecture and iftar programme continue to foster unity, strengthen spiritual bonds and promote collective commitment among Lafiagi descendants in Abuja.
