Bandits Kill Farmer, Abduct Another in LATA NNA Community

A deadly bandit attack has left one person dead and another kidnapped in LATA NNA community, in Kwara North throwing residents into grief and panic.

The victim, Ndaba Yaguru, was reportedly shot dead by suspected bandits in the early hours of Thursday while working in his farm. Another resident, Sani, popularly known as “Master,” was abducted during the same attack.

According to a community member who spoke with NupekoTv-Lafiagi, the incident came to light when a farmer on his way to the farm discovered Ndaba Yaguru’s lifeless body, while Sani was missing.

Sources further revealed that the kidnappers later contacted Sani’s family, confirming his abduction and stating that ransom demands would be communicated after reaching their camp.

The attack reportedly occurred on farmland located close to the community, heightening fears among residents over growing insecurity in the area.

Community members are currently mourning the tragic incident and calling on security agencies to take urgent action to prevent further attacks.
