Nupe Community in Ilorin Offers Special Prayers for Senator Saliu Mustapha

The Nupe in Ilorin Progressives Union (NIPU) has organised a special thanksgiving prayer in honour of Saliu Mustapha, in recognition of his sustained support and empowerment programmes for the Nupe community.

The prayer session took place on Sunday at Alfa Nda Karuma Central Mosque in the Sooro II area of Ilorin, with attendance from community leaders, clerics, and members of the union.

NIPU stated that the gathering was aimed at appreciating the senator’s “love and kind gestures,” noting that his initiatives have positively impacted many lives through scholarships, agricultural support, and other empowerment efforts.

The union also expressed gratitude to the Etsu Nupe, Yahaya Abubakar, for conferring the traditional title of Tabariki ‘n’ Nupe on Mustapha, describing the honour as a reflection of his contributions to the well-being of the Nupe people.

Prayers were offered for both the senator and the Etsu Nupe, seeking divine guidance, good health, and continued leadership. Clerics also called for peace, unity, and development across Kwara State.
